Microsoft Unveils Surface Studio 2 with $3,499 Starting Price

Microsoft has unveiled the second-generation Surface Studio at the company’s October 2 event, and as it happened in the case of the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2, most changes take place under the hood.

Aesthetically, the Surface Studio 2 looks just like the first-generation model, but Microsoft says that it has specifically upgraded the hardware to meet today’s expectations.

The 28-inch display, for example, features what Microsoft described as an all-new liquid crystal technology, boasting over 13.5 million pixels. At 500 nits, it’s 38 percent brighter and features 22 percent more contrast.
