How to Download and Install Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Version 1809)
Microsoft has finalized development of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (also referred to as version 1809 and internally codenamed Redstone 5), and the public rollout is projected to happen in just a few days.
Just like it happened in the case of the previous Windows 10 feature updates, the release will take place on two different fronts.
First and foremost, Microsoft will make it available via Windows Update, which means that all eligible systems will get the new bits automatically.
However, given that the automatic rollout takes place in stages, with Microsoft collecting data and resolving compatibility issues during the process, some PCs may have to wait longer than others to be able to install the October 2018 Update.
And second of all, there’ll be the manual update method that will work just like in the case of the previous Windows 10 feature updates, letting you to install version 1809 without waiting anymore.
