Microsoft Says a New Windows 10 Redstone 6 Preview Build Could Be Released Soon
Microsoft is now giving the finishing touches to Windows 10 Redstone 5, also known as version 1809 or October 2018 Update, but at the same time, the company is also working on the next major feature update.Codenamed Redstone 6, this release is already available in preview stage for Windows insiders who have enrolled in the Skip Ahead ring.
But as many of these users found out lately, new builds aren’t released exactly as frequently as hoped, and the most recent update landed nearly three weeks ago.
While some have criticized the company for not pushing new Skip Ahead builds, it’s obviously important to keep in mind that most of the efforts are now aimed at refining the performance of the October 2018 Update before rolling it out to general users across the world.
