This Windows 10 File Explorer with Fluent Design Is Better than Microsoft’s

Microsoft is currently working on a dark theme for File Explorer, and the public release could happen in Windows 10 Redstone 5 alongside more Fluent Design touches.

But while the software giant’s improved version of the file manager is evolving at a rather slow pace, not the same thing can be said about projects developed by the Windows 10 user community, whose skilled designers envision further refinements regularly.

This is the case of the concept that you see here and which was published on reddit to imagine that File Explorer would look like with Fluent Design and a dark gray theme.

The acrylic effect in the left pane coupled with the dark gray on the right side creates a mix that seems to align with the Windows 10 aesthetic makeover that Microsoft is currently working on.
